Darpa XM-3 Replica EFR Mounts

Description

The Darpa XM-3 rifle was developed in the early 2000s to for the Marine Corps.  The rifles were used extensively during the Fallujah conflict in Iraq.  Some of these rifles have become public ally available through the Civilian Marksmanship Program (CMP). They are now highly sought-after collector items and popular as replica projects by collectors.

Enthusiasts wanting to build these quickly discover that sourcing the elusive EFR mount is near impossible, as only 52 were ever made.

The LRI version is a near-perfect copy of the original.  Our piece was modeled from an original artifact mount supplied by the last manager of the Remington Custom Shop.  It is 100% CNC machined from bar-stock aluminum and fitted with the appropriate hardware.   It is finished in T-III black hard coat anodize.

NOTE:  The originals were engraved with the name of the company.  While this company is no longer in business, LRI was urged by legal counsel not to put their information on the part due to the potential legal complications.  For those wanting this, the details are available online with a little research.  It would be very easy to have it replicated by any laser engraving business fitted with a FIBER laser engraver.  (Make sure they have a fiber laser as a CO2 laser will do nothing but burn through the anodize coating)

NOTE:  The artifact piece we used for modeling uses allen socket head cap screws for hardware.   Some of our photos show Torx head screws.  This is because it is what we had at the time when the pictures were taken.  Your mount will be assembled and shipped with the appropriate 6-32 x .750″ allen socket head screws as used on the originals.
